experiencing the empty nest....

Empty nesters this week....months ago when we signed the kids up for camp I couldn't believe they all happened to land on the same week!!  And then I thought this will be our first "test" of being empty nesters....ugh!!! Even though in reality it may never happen or at least not for YEARS to come!!!
So at 5:15 AM ...Sunday morning of Father's Day....I drove the girls to church so they could load the van with this crew and head to Michigan to serve at a church camp for the week.  It's not all fun and games though.  They get to help paint cabins, fix docks, cement paths, and clear brush before hanging out with the kiddos and enjoying a little free time.  ;-)

Meanwhile.....
Our boy is off to college!
St. Olaf here he comes.
 Swim camp 101 that is....
and our first child to stay in the dorms...
he laughed and asked...."Where are the bathrooms?" Umm, down the hall....
have fun......
;-)
Then we walked around campus a bit before saying our good bye's and found this sign.....
of course we took it upon ourselves to doctor it up a bit....I am sure we are not the first or the last weirdos that will ever do that to "Buntrock" hahahahaha!!

What to do??? All the kids are checked in and gone.....Well, it is Father's Day so I guess the big guy can decide..........................................

Happy Hour!
Score!

I think we could get use to this empty nest thing....

for a little while anyway.....
