Some simple pictures from last night..

Congratulations Makenzie!

There were 15 total kids who decided THIS was the year to take their First Communion.
I love that we don't have to think we need a special outfit ~ have to have a certain look to receive communion~ we come as we are and are accepted for who we are no matter what we wear or if we even combed our hair! (ha!)

After I asked our pastor, Pastor Bob if he would take a picture with Makenzie.
"Of course, It's a Very Special Day!"...... was his reply.
(duh feeling right then...ha!)
 Great Photo!

Finally, we came home and chowed down some cookie cake.  ;-)

(no pic...too busy eating and later regretting...oh, the sweet tummy ache is no fun!)

We gave Kenzie the bracelet she is wearing as a reminder of the special day.
And these books....even though they say "Kids'" on them they are totally appropriate for all ages and full of interesting facts.  I hope she references them often when ever she wants to learn more about the Bible.  She also received a nice card from Grandma and Grandpa.....thanks for remembering her!

Next up??? A post about the unleavened bread....YUM!

Nothing else compares to this....

That feeling right after you put away ALL the Christmas've dusted, vacuumed, rearranged the furniture in a brand ...
